Following graduation, Peter Hignett, the principal of Planbuild, undertook postgraduate study and worked overseas as an architect and planner in Toronto, New York, and London. On returning to Adelaide he entered private practice in 1970. Consulting practice for over thirty years has provided the company with experience in most areas of planning, urban design and architecture, including commissions for private clients, Commonwealth, State, and Local Government.
